This week, Henderson County Schools celebrates our incredible Family Resource and Youth Services Center (FRYSC) Coordinators.
Our FRYSC coordinators are a lifeline for students and families, helping remove non-cognitive barriers to learning by connecting them to food, clothing, social services, and critical support. Their compassion, dedication, and behind-the-scenes work make a lasting difference in our schools and our community.
Thank you for all you do for our Henderson County students and families. Because of you, we continue to Pursue Excellence—together.

SHS: To celebrate Super Sunday, we are asking all Blazers to wear your favorite team/sports jersey or shirt tomorrow. I can't wait to see all of the team spirit. Please do not forget to bring your Chromebooks charged and ready.

Call will go out to families around 2 Due to the snow still remaining on some of our roadways, Monday, February 2nd, will be an NTI (Non-Traditional Instruction) day. Childcare will be open at East Heights Elementary, Bend Gate Elementary, and Thelma B. Johnson Early Learning Center for those enrolled.

SHS: Thursday is NTI and Friday is a traditional snow day(no NTI). I want to see all students on google meets tomorrow and all work complete by this weekend. I will give a classroom prize to the class with the most NTI participation this week!! Let's see which class is up for the challenge. Get some rest tonight. I'll see you tomorrow morning Blazers.

SHS: I hope everyone had a good Day 2 of NTI. Brian/crew and maintenance cleared areas in the parking lot and sidewalk today. Please be careful as you navigate around town. Please text/ call if you need anything -Black

SHS: The parking lot at the school is still covered. Please refrain from coming to school, if possible unless you have a plan to get unstuck. Brain and crew, along with maintenance. are working on sidewalks and parking lot throughout the day. I'll keep you posted. Have a great day.

SHS: If our Blazer families are experiencing internet outages, don't worry. Your child can work on some of their NTI packet. All google meets will be recorded in case internet goes or you lose connection.

These days will be NTI virtual learning days. Detailed instruction will be sent by your child’s school or on your school’s Facebook page.

SHS: Reminder 100th day of school celebration tomorrow. Let's celebrate! We will also have our Blazer snack cart available during fun Friday. It's a great day to be a Blazer!!

SHS: We will celebrate the 100th day of school tomorrow Friday January 23rd. We encourage students to wear 100th day shirts, dress like they are 100 yrs old, and enjoy all the days activities. I can't wait to see everyone.
